Only So Much Time

Wednesday, 18th August, 2021.

A ruthless streak is necessary and I’m becoming more comfortable with it. I’ve over-extended myself and it hurts. There are many plants in the garden that simply use up my resources to a degree beyond their value.

This has been highlighted this week in particular because I’m cycling like the divil. My time is unequally divided. It might seem like the wrong time to make drastic decisions, but it’s happening out of necessity.

I’ve loved the foliage and the dainty flowers on these Pelargonium Vancouver, but I’ve not loved them recently. I think back to the work involved in keeping them mould-free during the winter. Anyway, the long and the short of it is that they are going. This time, rather than sending them to the compost heap, I’ve got someone who will be glad to love them.

Philosophically, I thank them for being part of my journey.

I’m off on my bike.
